That 15% is far too low. You could double it if not more. And today there is far more pathetic darker crisis in men to even find any remotely that would run through fire with you..
The real-life Dick Winters – a man among men, a man's man – chokes up just a little in relating the content of that letter.
If you've viewed each episode, and paid attention to the interview clips that precede each one, you choke up, too.
"This is what you felt on the couch. You were watching a brotherhood and you don’t have one." God-damn right, most of us don't. The modern business world, which rewards cut-throat selling out your colleague/perceived rival, is not the place to find it – a life of fellowship in Christ with other believers, is.
What Band of Brothers doesn't show is the aftermath….the shell shock, nightmares, going back to normal life, alcoholism, broken homes. The Pacific does a better job….but yes, love that miniseries.
My Father in Law's father was severely wounded by the Nazis. He had some stories….
Agreed, not much after math, some in the final episode with the drunk driving and guard duties. I think the Lewis Nixon representation was pretty shell shocked after his plane got shot down and he turned to the bottle. I had a great Uncle like that. He didn’t talk about it to anyone, then one day opened up and poured it all out to my younger brother.
I have a quick solution for those seeking a brotherhood. Join your local volunteer fire department. Serve your community and serve your brothers (and sisters!) in the department at the same time. I promise you, the hardest part is saying yes that first time.
Great article, Christopher. Brought a tear, as I'm a fan of this series as well. My son & I have watched it together more than once... in fact, I gifted it to him for Christmas one year. I'm sending this article to my husband and son today. Thank you!

This is, sadly, probably true.

Spent the evening with my brothers in Christ.
Keep building that life of fellowship!
Long live the brotherhood
Let's go!

Thanks for reading.
愛死這部劇。不僅僅因為友情的匱乏,而是貫穿其間的勇氣、膽識、恐懼、掙扎、犧牲。
It's a great show. So many lessons. The importance of brotherhood was just the lesson I focused on here. Thanks for reading!

Great suggestion. Community service has other benefits, too.
Good stuff dude.
Thanks, glad you liked it.
Powerful article. I retweeted it on X and will share it here.
Thank you, brother! Means a lot. Sometimes you build the brotherhood and then have to build it again in the second half, correct?
That's what I'm doing now.
Incredible article on an important topic I can't say enough about. I hope many men read this and follow your advice.
Build the brotherhood. Thank you for checking this article out.
What a powerful article! So much wisdom and much needed in today’s society! Thank you!
You're welcome. Glad it resonated and I appreciate the support.
